non e90 but it's e36 question

I just go a 1993 bmw 325i with 162000 miles. It has been sat since 2005 and never been start the engine. In 2005 the bmw have issue with starting up and it was fuel pump so shop put new one in and it was run, after that parking for 8 years after that won't start. We spray gas to intake and still won't fire engine up. Does 1993 have code? The shop said car was run great and no CEL on after fuel pump replace. I got that bmw for free.

Google "stomp test" for details on OBD 1 trouble codes.

Ok, I have an e36 so I will help even though you are asking the wrong crowd here. You may be using the valet key which wont unlock the trunk or your trunk lock is busted, try using your other key. If you still can't unlock it you can us a coat hanger to release the fold down seat then pop the release inside the trunk. If you don't have fold down seats, there is a trick that involves a drill and some luck.

There is no security code for engine start on the e36, just a code to use the radio itself. I would say you have some wire rot or a bad charging system. If it has an aftermarket security system you will have some issues with power loss as well.

Spraying gas into the intake of a BMW is like pissing in the wind, you can do it but results may be bad. If the pump and injectors aren't working, no amount of intake spray will help. If you had an M with individual throttlebodies, it would damage them.

Go over to the e36 forums or look in the M forums for pre OBD I guys that may get you some help.

Replace the plugs and drain the fuel tank. Put some good gas in it.

Cars that sit that long that are then started flood the cylinders with bad gas, so you get no spark and have bad fuel in the lines, which wont burn anyway.

I got the trunk open and found a lock is not working. Already replaced battery and check spark plug and it show new. I took fuel pump out to testing on it and it work good. So I put back in gas tank and turn key on and no power to fuel pump. I already check fuse number 18 and show good. What kind problem that would be? My friend spray Brake cleaner to intake while I turn key on to start and the engine run good so there is power and spark on engine. There is No code show.

There is no point of trying to crank it more when your only problem id the fuel pump. No matter what you do the fuel delivery is not there. I would suggest check the fuses again and just replace the damn fuel pump its not that expensive.

Btw I have two ones a M and had 6 before. So im not new to E36s at all.

You might have done this but if not do the following.

Put 93 fuel in ( take old gas out )
Coolant flush/refill
Oil change w/ filter
A good wash
tire pressure and consider new tires
insurance
your good to go.lol

UPDATE: Fuel pump relay and DME Relay changed and now it have power to fuel pump plugs but will replace fuel pump because that fuel pump does not make enough power to pump the gas out.
