So if I'm getting new shocks (bilstein b12 kit) for the front, would the Monroes front struts work it it? 335d...

Just ordered these to go with my BC Racing Coilovers I also ordered. Looks like they are a good purchase for when doing a suspension refresh.

Pepboys have these in stock and you get 25% off. I just ordered both the 907984 and 907985 for $39.71. I'm doing a refresh kit for the my e90 and ordered the following items:

2 Front upper strut mounts (31306775098)
2 Shock Mount Sealing (33506767010)
2 Rear bump stop support cup (33526764418)

Is there anything else I need?

Sorry to bump an old thread but I recently installed the Monroe upper mounts and have noticed more noises from the rear. It sounds like minor thudding when going over bumps. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've checked that the top mount nuts were tight. I did not remove the shocks from the lower position during installation. I used the black Monroe washers instead of the silver OE "cups" if it matters.

The noises have subsided and I think I can attribute the remaining increase in NVH to the use of the stiffer mounts with RFTs. Aside from that, the rear does feel firmer and more planted. Not sure if it's worth the NVH on a daily though.

Got the rear upper mounts - Pickup in store for $14.87, including CA tax.

Well that's good, they work as designed. If you have RFT noise would not be pleasant.

I didn't reuse the oem washer. It was worn out. Other have used it in conjunction with the new monroe washer. That shortens the shaft travel by few mm. Is up to you really.

I keep thinking of that tq on your 335d. You could pull lory trailer with it.

When replacing this part do you just need to take the load off the shock to unbolt this part and replace? I know people say it's easy but I'm not 100% sure on install instructions for our cars. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok thanks. Will get these fitted this Thursday.

Not sure if it can pull a lorry! Not towed anything with this, would be good to see how it does.

When I first installed mine I noticed slightly more noise/vibration or at least imagined I did! After a few days it either went away or I stopped imagining it. Have had them on for over a year and the one thing that I really notice is that very annoying 2nd oscillation when coming to a complete quick stop has been and has stayed eliminated with these harder rubber monroe units compared to the stock foam units. Great cheap upgrade.

digging old thread, how long I should wait for shocks/struts to go bad before replacing them? I don't want to pay $200 for rear upper/lower bushing installation

Your is 2009 New York car that has seen harsh winter and poor roads. If you are past 75k you definitely need new struts and shocks.

Quick question: does that black metal washer sit between the OEM metal cup that houses the bumpstop, and the inner Monroe mount (the one that goes UNDER the unibody)? Obviously the outer Monroe mount goes in the trunk.

EDIT:NVM, I found the answer.
