Safety regs? Really? Its quite often a delete on M cars and Porsche etc. as car is not as stiff with sunroof.

you mean the 1M? yeah glad they are closing the price. But i think it is still cheaper buying in the USA.

Well its just that the whole engineering process was rushed so that's why they were saying they couldn't equip it with a CF roof, etc. so I'm assuming that's also why the sunroof can't be equipped either... I wonder if you can get an OEM E82 sunroof custom installed?

If you can buy 1M, buy CPO M3 or used M3 instead.
1M will be the worst M model ever released.

When I first heard the news of a M1... I was eagerly waiting spy shots.
When I saw it was a 1 series with wider rear wheel wells, basically a 335i engine and quad exhausts... it was quite disappointing. I wanted to see a truely reborn M1... NOT a 1 series on steroids. |

But M3, you can't do that with 335i. Also, M3 is the last V8 since the next one is going to be V6. 1M will be probably good for BMW sales because of the entry price, but for performance-wise it's the worst IMHO.

I will wager that the 1M will be tuned in such a manner where it can outhandle AND outspeed the M3 whether at the strip or through twisties. And about the FI/NA debate - you sound like an old man clinging to all 8 cylinders and repeating the typical banter on the forums, when its clear that FI is the way of the future (was embraced by MB and Audi along time ago, finally BMW cought up). If nothing evolved, we may as well be drag racing horse carts with stone wheels..... but hey, Im sure the E9X M3 might be a collector car (sarcasm). |
