Porsche dropped from second, Mercedes takes it's place.

Wow. Excellent showings by Lexus and Mercedes. For some reason I always had this notion in my head that Porsches were generally unreliable, but I guess I was wrong. Porsche's reliability rank is extremely high.

I think these studies are hogwash. How can Lincoln, made in the same plants as their Ford counterparts be so much better. It just doesn't add up right.

Lexus has always hovered around the top 5 for many years. Reason why I went with a Lexus after lemoning the BMW. But I am tired of it and ready to buy another German

That's where my wife's 2013 GS350 F-Sport really shines. Drives as good as any of its German competitors while remaining bulletproof as a proper Lexus should. And she's a beaut to boot!

Agreed. Every single person I have ever known with a Mercedes has been on a first name basis with the dealer's service manager or an indie. Find me one owner who says "oh ya, I've never had to take my car to the dealer for anything".

I have had two Mercedes. Scheduled maintenance only. My old 335i, that is a different story.

That's nothing compared to the Lexus-Toyota spread. The Lincoln to Ford jump is 23% (26pts) while the Lexus to Toyota jump is 68% (46pts).

if only I liked driving a Lexus, had a gs430 and found it super boring.

Study is also making me feel real good about my recent TDI sportwagen purchase......not! Though 40mpg average has been fantastic.

I think BMW took a big hit from 08 and for a period of time after due to the horrendous issues with the HPFP and turbos from the first runs of the N54. Word of mouth was getting around and even making the news, that hurts sales and are unacceptable. They finally straightened it out and are trying hard to make better products and stay well above the average line.
