Bimmertech PP82DSP, Jehnerts Underseats, JL Audio 10W6
Hello all, I am trading in my BMW so I am parting out my stereo. I did many hours of research and thanks to this great forum I was able to put together the best system I have ever owned. I am trying to get rid of these and I don't have a lot of time so I am just pricing them to move them as quickly as possible. These can be picked up directly in the DFW area. Everything is in mint contidion and was only used for about a year. Standard shipping to the US is included on all items. Bimmertech PP82DSP $600 - Amazing AMP and DSP. Just do some research and you will see what this piece is all about. Plug and play. Additional amp an be connected to it to run a dedicated sub. I ran a JL Audio 600/1. JL Audio 10w6 in in a JL Audio box - CS110GW6V3 - $350. This fits right in the left spot in the trunk. No rattle what so ever. I had a Morel Ultimo before this in a Musicar Box and this absolutely blows that away. The enclosure is straight from JL. You can still access the lift up in the trunk as well. Google it and check it out. Jehnert Underseats - $300 - These are installed so I don't have any pics but I bought them off of a forum member here. Since I had the sub I never played them loud. They are great though. Again, just read about them. Thanks for looking. Hopefully I can get these to a forum member that will enjoy them as much as I did. Hey Steven. They come with the wire adapters and spacers for an E90. All plug and play and install is pretty simple as well. I am not sure if the wire adapter and spacers will work on an F30 but I don't know either way. I wanted to throw that out just in case.

When main subwoofer is off and only listening to mid bass , how do these sound compared to stock with your upgraded bimmertech amp?

Hey Steven. They sounded great. When I tuned it I would turn the main subwoofer off and set the volumes and crossovers for the underseats. I have Morel components and I found that playing them higher and letting the underseats handle most of the mids and some of the lows would give the best sound. They aren't going to replace the w6 but they will play low. I believe I would have them play from 160 to 60 and then let the sub handle the lower notes. I listen to a lot of hip hop and like the deeper bass and these would do an admirable job of handling it. Power was never an issue coming from the bimmertech dsp. They never sounded underpowered and got plenty loud but of course that is going to depend on listening habits. They are extremely responsive and accurate. I actually thought the stock underseats did a decent job but no where near what these do. They are much more accurate and actually sound like midbass and bass should vs the underseats sounding thin.
Let me know if you have any more questions. |

@tvalentine - You can add preloaded tunes to the amp which were created by Bimmertech or in some case other used. They are easy to load. When I would tweak them (you could absolutely leave them alone) I would use one of these as a baseline and the tweak the levels, crossover points, and Sq on the speakers. So it's easy to do through the interface but if you are going to tweak you have to know a little of what you are doing. Having said that I learned everything from this forum or from googling. It is fun to slowly learn and then set the sound exactly how you prefer it because it is all subjective.

@fxm - Hey Frank! The Morel enclosure is great for most people and most people love it. The w6 set up does give a lot more bass though. If your looking for more bass I highly recommend it. It's not quite as factory looking though.
