I was offered a funny hat to wear by PJS but politely refused as it didn't look like it'd been dead for all that long!!! Shame you couldn't make it Will. Ed's wife, Mandy, said I reminder her of you - wasn't too sure whether that was a compliment of not .

I can now join the growing list of cars who now need some form of maintenance following the blasts ...

Have you got an abnormally large penis as well then?

Oh and congratulations to Ed and Mandy on their marriage.

Well well well,

This was my 1st ever Car meet, so my expectations weren't set too high. I'm glad to say that I enjoyed the whole day/night and will be back for more

I was impressed with the amount of organisation and approach to the whole experience. Hats off to Matt, Gav and Ed. No wonder people keep turning up year after year, as it’s something abit different and has a friendly feel about it

The driving part of the trip was abit marred for me, running with just my Big turbo on the 335d with the little one with no sign of life
However, it forced me to use the car on the boil at 3k+ revs so I found it rather entertaining at times. It did mean I was over accelerating loads so I'd be shooting off and then having to brake to stop me clattering into the person infront!! I've seen my indy today and he couldn't apologise enough. Hes put the problem down to the vac hoses he put on. There was one kink in them already visible and this is stopping any pressure getting through to the actuators. He cut this section out and you couldn't even blow through the pipe!! He's going to replace the pipes for me tomorrow. Think it'll be FOC, didn't have chance to discuss "reparations" though Matt

MEGA, don't buy some new runflats for your rears, pop your fronts on ebay and replace the tyres all round bud. The dealers don't give a toss and neither does your insurance. I'm sure for all those Dukes of Hazzard moments it would have been better to have some slightly more compliant rubber underneath you :P

I've got a few vid's from my phone but nothing that compliments what's already been displayed. If only I'd got some videos of you petrol guys gunning it away from the T junctions, your cars really did sound awesome

Next time, with a 100% car and hopefully abit of sun it'll be even better.

I'm glad I met you all and look forward to seeing you all again

Rich,

The roads look good, but more than just a bit narrow; I think my "over exuberance-to-talent" ratio (factoring in silly power and skinny rears) would have sent me off road within about 4 minutes.
Congrats all for keeping it between the ditches.

Thats a good vid Matt

Was it from a iPhone 4 and if so how did you mount it and exactly location please in yer car?

Jeez them roads are narrow, makes it look like a rally stage. Even more scarey watching the vid, think I'll still to them three lane motorways in future

It's a Contour+ mounted using the standard suction mount, tucked in next to the rear view mirror.

Full HD and stores a GPS track too (not that I bother doing anything with that).

Unfortunately the batteries crapped out on the way back from TanHill or I would have had footage of your car (and how that overtake looked to us )

After such an enjoyable blast across the Yorkshire countryside I've spent the last couple of days looking at anything but the vaguely sensible Merc I was interested in and am trying to talk myself out of a TT RS, an M3 or a Porsche! Again!

Some pics to remind us that great driving can still be had in this world of speed cameras and congestion!

None of the roads were one way...just very narrow! Although Matt's excursion up a dead end road that led to a farmer's yard could have been one way for us if the farmer had been quicker with his shotgun!!

Fingers crossed, my cars fixed

Dodgy flexhose pipe it was.

Cars flying now, only wish it had been on the meet. Would have made me fly out of those bends as long as i could keep traction

Work was done FOC, we are to meet in the L`Armistice train
Carriage to discuss reparations. Not the original carriage, the remake in 1950...

I need to extract that nugget of video and post. To be fair, his Nav did suggest he could get through... it just forgot to mention that a quad would be more suitable from that point.

They didn't feel that narrow in the MINI, especially when following Pauls 6!

They didn't feel narrow to me either, but that's probably a consequence of growing up in Cornwall!

Would love to see more video Matt, especially, being selfish, of the Zed - for obvious reasons I don't get to watch how it handles from an external viewpoint but not sure you were behind me all that often . I'm not arsed about blurring the reg plate mate, I know that's a right royal pain in the arse, it's already been published anyway plus if someone wants to clone a car I suspect they'd prefer to clone a more common car!!!

Glad your motor is sorted Richard; a weight off your mind.

I followed Paul's 6 quite often, it did act a bit like a snow-plough by forcing any oncoming traffic to the side of the road for the others to wade through

I have about 4 videos following you Roger, but they arent on interesting parts of the route, or at any speed. Plus they involve our inane chattering, so probably not suitable, sorry.

It is a good looking car though!

Had such a good weekend with everyone, really enjoyed the meet and am looking forward to many to come!!

Negotiations are taking place! Might have something lined up with a bit of luck... although looking at my track record with dealers I'm not holding my breath!

I don't think that i ever followed you unfortunately.

Long edit is compiled, but needs dropping down from 2GB before uploading.
