Im Back!! Deposit Down On My Next Car!!!
Well, i wasnt gone for too long!! I very nearly bought an RS Focus is Frozen White but then couldnt justify spending over £30k on a Ford. I then seriously considered a Nissan GT-R but thankfully Steve A put me right on a few things and that was equally discounted as a viable option!! There were a few other ideas but i struggled to think of any car that bang for buck comes even close to the M3. I am still interested in the RS5 when its released and maybe even the new RS4 - but these wont be til next year and im far too impatient and have numerous track days booked!!!! I almost rang the guy who has bought my M3 and told him he can have his deposit back its no longer for sale!!
So in the end ive decided to stay with BMW. And because the ONLY real gripe with my M3 was the bloody manual gearbox - ive decided to buy another E92 M3 but this time with the DCT box. I absolutely love the M3 in White so again ive decided to stick with the same colour combo and ive luckily found almost the EXACT same spec car as my current M3 albeit this one has DCT. I dont have any pics as yet but the spec is as follows; 8 month old (58 plate) E92 M3 DCT in White with extended Black Novillo leather 6,000 miles Carbon Leather trim Latest 2009 i-Drive Pro Sat Nav Upgraded Loud Hi-Fi with DSP Electronic Damper Control (EDC) DAB Radio Heated Seats iPod & USB interface Bluetooth 19" wheels PDC front and rear Comfort Access Sliding Front Armrest BMW Connect Assist BMW Connect On-Line Voice Control Shadow Line etc etc So all in all im pretty happy to be staying with an M3. Ive got a Remus Race exhaust that im going to get fitted pretty much immediately. And then im going to repeat a certain amount of my original mods and maybe discount certain others. Hope to collect it on Thurs or Fri of next week all being well. Shall upload pics when i get a chance but its safe to say it looks pretty much identical to when i first bought my last M3!!!!! Roll on Croft Track Day on July 6th!!!!!!!!

Had you really gone? Welcome back anyway!
Looking forward to the pictures - be interested to see what mods you keep and which you don't.

Good choice Steve! Was racking my brain thinking what the next best car could be and couldn't really think of anything else that suits.
Out of interest, what was the mod you wouldn't do? |

What was your problem with the manual? Sorry if I'm out of the loop.

you are proof that once you buy a BMW you won't want to change to another make
Have you had CA before? I wouldn't have ordered it but it was on mine when I bought it. Next one will definately have it as I find it so good and I'll only buy an E92 next time as well. |

Why did you discount the GT-R ?, Dont know much about the car other than various articles and Top Gear and thought it looks an awesome car ?

Welcome back. Don't leave us for sooooo long next time
I second the reason why the GT-R was discounted. I think they are awesome cars. One past my office today but I was stuck at the lights and couldn't, obviously, catch up for a 'brotherly' nod!!! I'm already in talks with a dealer about a 370Z - your bug must be catching Steve!!!
