Just read that in GT5, you are not able to change the wheels on the standard (used) cars, which is a shame

Do you have the media remote? I'd agree that using one of the controllers would be a bloody nightmare but I use mine (with the remote) as a Blu-Ray player and as a device to stream all the movies/TV off my NAS which it's great at. Certainly no harder to use than SKY HD.

The controllers are fine too. They are wireless. What is the problem?

Yes, got the remote, it does make life much easier in fairness. Think part of the problem is my own confusion with the whole system (PS3, Amp, TV); I find they all do their own attempt to 'tweak' the settings (sounds being a classic example) and I never know which element is causing the issue. By the time I've located it I've got fed and & turned to SkyHD instead .

Looks like play.com have received their stock as they are shipping their GT5 orders today, and showing as instock on their site.

Although, it does take 3-5 days for delivery so people will probably get their's next week.

I ordered the PS3 + GT5 Collectors Ed bundle off Amazon, and it still says 'not yet dispatched', so more than likely I will get it on release day.

I have read and seen a few comments/vids on the Top Gear Test Track and first impressions were that it looked very narrow and has invisible walls around the track.

On the other hand, the Madrid street circuit looks mega.

Oh, I hadn't realised it hadn't been released yet, it's released on Wednesday isn't it - a little ahead of myself there...

Loads of places are saying it's in stock, which it probably is, just can't be sold/posted yet.

I really like the look of the new Need for Speed game too...

I'm actually wondering whether, for my 'pick-up-&-play-for-20-mins-when-I-can' style of gaming, Need for Speed might suit better.

Some people have managed to get it early, (as they know people who work in game shops, etc,) hence why there's some vids up on youtube. (More and more going on everyday). It seems alot of people from France seem to have picked it up last Friday.

Online shops can say it's instock as it takes a couple of days for it to get to you via Royal Mail, so if it is dispatched today, you should get it by Weds.
Also, i heard that most online stores have some sort of barcode/stamp on the package which is for Royal Mail, and apparently, it says that the item is to be held by Royal Mail till the release day.

I didnt realise the G27 sells for so much!

I dont know the exact difference between the G27 and G25, but why dont you go for the G25 as it seems to come with the same stuff as the G27?

There is a free download deno of NSF for the PS3 online. You could try it.

I didn't get to the end of the race and it was deleted. Pure arcade. Didn't suit me.

Bummer; I didnt realise the G25 was not made anymore.
There are a couple on eBay, but there are not brand new.

As for the G27, play.com have 23% off, and are selling it for £229.99 if that helps, and plus if you are a member of quidco, you can get upto 6% cashback.

Cheers for that - much appreciated. But unfortunately they have no stock. "Usually dispatching 3-5 weeks"

I am going to buy this though in anticipation of stock coming through in december.
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/152731...k/Product.html

Was going to get a play seat, (and they have G27's in stock!) but i honestly can't justify the spend. Maybe if i get into it seriously. But i doubt it.
