Memory Foam Mattresses

Okay...

So I'm in the market for a memory foam mattress.

I went and checked out the Tempur-Pedic's and they are nice...but hella expensive. I've also noticed that a few different companies have launched their version of the "foam mattress". Sealy and Serta both have memory foam mattresses along with other companies.

Does anyone have any insight on some of these mattresses? I'm looking for something plush - not firm.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

I'm in the same situation. My gf is a real light sleeper and keeps pushing for the Tempur-Pedic. It's just a lot of money for a mattress.

In Central Florida there are mainly two different mattress stores: Mattress Giant and Mattress Firm.

I went to Mattress Giant yesterday and checked out the Tempur-Pedic mattress and the clouds are beautiful!

In addition to the Tempur-Pedic's they also had another company that makes memory foam mattresses called Nature's Sleep. Just like the Tempur-Pedic's...but at a cheaper price.

I'm aware the foam may be different...but now companies like Serta and Sealy are coming out with memory foam mattresses!!! I was digging the Nature's Sleep mattresses...

^^^Does anyone have any insight on this company?

Ok I have been wanting one of these beds, and have always wondered how it would do under this type of usage - is this true?

I just got Tempur-pedic cloud supreme couple days ago.
I've done quite a bit of researching only Tempur-Pedic cloud had 82% user satisfaction.
Their HD series had lower satisfaction rating due to heat trap and odor issue due to fatter foam.
Cloud series has thinner top layer but for us being fairly light weighted, it was more than enough and we would not get benefit of having thicker foam top.

I almost landed on Simmons worldclass with latex memory foam as pillow top but after testing, researching, I figured my wife would be more happy with Tempur Pedic.

Yes, I agree it is bit expensive but I figure better night sleep for 10+ years worth extra dollars. Just go try and which series works for you the best, price vary so much.

Seriously though, whats the difference in "the motion of the ocean" on a Tempur Vs. Normal bed?

It seems like it would be similar to "getting down" in quicksand or something

You sleep in it for 3 days then you will know.
My body felt like shit for 2 days but on 3rd day doors to heaven opened. And for side sleepers like me, you don't get this numbness on your shoulder without moving for hours.

So far so good, but how is the sex in a bed like that?

Tricky question.
For normal plays it's fine and same as other beds except minor discomfort on your arms if you play on top as top doesn't have normal bed's reflex.
However, if your partner likes to jump, I can only imagine she wouln't have that anymore.... but then I've had this mattress only for few days....things might play in different flavor.

But all the ratings rate this bed same as other bed in sex category if you research.

Thanks.
All the matresses in my house are from here. They used to have a configurator where you put in your weight and how you slept (stomach, side, back) and then it gave recommendations but I didn't see when I did a quick scan. Probably better off to give them a call.

Is this true?

I can't go more than 2 days without having my arm fall asleep as I lay on it... It's the most annoying thing ever!

Haha yes.
It took me about 3 days and my wife got used to it in about a day.
I guess everyone has different learning curve.
If you can't get used to it, maybe it's too soft or firm for you, mostly too soft.
But once you get used to it...Sleeping on a regular mattress feels like wearing a fake leatherette jacket.
