Car feels slower after visit to bmw.

What's up Fellas,

I need some advise, I took in my car to service with BOV and Intake for suspension service and exhaust rattle and of course it wasn't fixed and blamed on my mods. The issue is that, the car is slower with jb3 then what it used to be. I found out that, they reprogrammed the car for lower boost with jb3. Does anybody know what to do about this to bring it back to the same way as it was before? Is there a point of updating my jb3 to jb4?

All help/advice is appreciated.

why would they reprogram your car. Was your jb3 still plugged in?

it was plugged in but mapped to 0. There is a new recall bmw is not telling people but re-reprogramming the computer not to raise the boost high with a tune as far as I know.

Same thing happened to me my car was reprogamed and now it feels slower but I took out the jb3 for the dealership

1. Unless they can prove your intake or BOV has anything to do with your Suspension and Exhaust having issues, they are breaking the law... Totally different systems.. Time to find a new dealer.
2. What is your JB3 set to? I mean, have you changed any settings since you got it installed. With the new DME updates, if you change your settings to +5 boost, you will notice a difference in performance.
3. And why would you leave your JB in for a dealer visit? that's just asking for trouble. I have an appointment next week and I took my Jb3 out, not risking them looking in their and seeing that.

^ I know they did not see the jb3, and arguing with them is pointless especially I do not have the time to go back and forth with them and getting in to legal actions over it. I know someone that works for bmw and he has told me that they are not programming the computers on these cars so it does not exceed a certain boost level, which is why the car feels slower. They are not letting you know bout this either and performing it on their own, my BT scan doesn't even communicate with the car anymore because they blocked it off.

^ everything would of been fine, I requested a guy that I know to be my mechanic like I always do, but later on I find out that he was on vacation and someone else was assigned to my car who fucked it all up! To top it off, besides that they did not do anything after leaving the dealership 20mi later all my anti-freeze leaked out and had to tow it back to the shop for their stupid mistake that they can't even admit to.

Well it's not entirely in the wrong section (wrong engine maybe as his is an N54)... It kinda of went off topic when we inquired about which dealer he went to...

Federal law states that they have to be able to PROVE that your mods damaged whatever you're trying to have taken care of under warranty. That's a law, and they know it. They just hope you don't!

And about them reprogramming the computer... Did you authorize that? Because if not, demand that it be undone.

As far as the coolant leaking out, did they cover the cost of the tow? This dealership sounds horrendous.

WAIT IS THIS TRUE??? can other members please chime in. know one has even commented on this?? he also said they blocked his BT scan tool. have other people had this happen?

Life Quality is horrible....I would recommend Open Road BMW in Edison, never been there but iv'e heard great things
