HELP Front Control Arm Bushings
I went to get an alignment and a shop told me I have bad front bushings and they are unable to do the alignment.
Spoke with BMW and it is not covered under CPO. Does anyone know of a good brand and where to buy these control arms and bushing. I believe you have to buy the entire arm and not just the rubber bushing. Thanks for any advice and help in advance.

The M part is better than the Meyle part? Is there any fitment issues with the M?

OP do you know which bushings are bad? Upper control arm (tension struts) or lower control arm (wishbones) or both?
You can buy bushings separately but I decided to go ahead and replace my tension struts instead. Just less hassle, and buying the entire control arm gives you a new ball joint in addition to the bushing. I did Meyle tension struts. They are better than oem IMO. The M3 struts / wishbones are supposedly much better and I'll probably do those at some point. More $$$ than buying Meyle or replacing with the standard OEM though. If you are inclined to do this DIY, control arms are not difficult. |

I upgraded to the M3 bushing in the front control arms (tension strut per BMW parts) of my 335. You will notice increased road feel, cracks, bumps or any sharp road imperfection will be much more noticeable. The car will respond noticeably better to steering input and hard breaking. Note the M businch has a slit on it and it needs to be compressed before pressing it in, not all indy shops know how to do this.

Any final thought or opinions before I pull the trigger? I heard it will be a rougher ride from the post above. Did you install the entire kit of 5 pieces or just two? (directed to the post above this one)

Meyle being steel, gotta wonder about mass vs. M parts. Meyle might be adjustable, not needed for street but added capability if you feel the call. . |

The part is like $40 each, save your OEM bushings in case you want to go back
