Long Starts

I've been experiencing long starts and rough idle. Dealership replaced HPFP under warranty, but the problems still exist. Any ideas?

Possibly the low-pressure fuel sensor, but you would usually have a fault stored for it.

Have you checked for faults or monitored low-pressure fuel pressure electrically/mechanically?

I have all fresh fuel pumps, coils, plugs, injectors. My car sometimes kicks instantly. Other times 1-3 seconds. In my experience I would say 3 seconds is the Max though and it kicks over on the 3rd second.
Anything more then that I would be concerned.

What kind of fuel are you running? 93?

Long crank times on cold engines, coupled with rough running= injectors.

Have the dealer look at your injectors. Does it smell like raw fuel after cold start? If so you have an injector bank going out.

I had the same thing happen a few months after I bought my car and the dealer ended up replacing a bank of injectors to fix the problem. It will get worse the longer you let it go and eventually they injectors will run wide open and the car will run like shit until it warms up and can burn off the fuel. So, I would get it into the dealership as soon as possible if you have coverage.

Boom, head shot.

I was having the same problem and the dealer just replaced all 6 injectors under the warranty.
