I am no expert here but I would say if you look on pistonheads and autotrader they are going for around 18k - 20k [for e92s] depending on condition. What they offered is way too low but that's how they operate, bmw would prob give you more on tradein, your best bet might be to sell privatly on pistonheads or autotrader.

Personally would sell the car privately you will get much more for it than giving it to BMW they always knock off about 1k or 2 off the asking price and don't give it to WBAC either there rip you off they take about at least 4k off the asking price from my experience

If the car is in good condition I think you should be able to get around about 19k

Hope this helps

Although you haven't listed options or if it's an E90/92/93. but ball part £14.900 private sale, with the wheels refurbed.

I would have said u would get 16-18k depending on condition. sub 13k is a joke.
Have a good hunt on autotrader. Is it still under bmw warranty? will help sale if it is.
a bmw garage wil probably offer you £13500. Private sale definately the way to go.

Afraid to say the market's flat as a pancake at the moment - post world cup and entering the new real world of austerity!

I've been speaking to dealers, traders etc over the past few weeks trying to flog mine and the market's fecked. Dealers are swamped with cars and not buying.

Here's mine - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=393210

Best dealer offer so far - 20k - lost 16k in a year at that price!

What it books at and getting someone to buy it are two very very different things I'm afraid, but agree with all on here that 12k is far too low IMHO.

Get it on autotrader and pistonheads and see how you get on.

Good luck!

They offered me £5000 less than what i eventualy sold my 335i for to a dealer two months after their 'offer'.

You can do a lot better than this price - is the car E92 or E90?
My advice is to look on BMW AUC, Autotrader and Pistonheads etc and see what similar cars are going for, if they are main dealer cars then knock £2K - £2.5K off the prices and that is what a dealer should be offering for yours.

Check out the private sales as well and you should be able to gauge the market value of your car based on an average of similar cars and spec to yours.

Ring around plenty of dealers (don't restrict yourself to just your local area), do not assume they will all offer the same - my lowest and highest offers on my 335 (not including we buy any car) were £2500 apart. An afternoon of research and phone calls could pay dividends.

Sorry to hear of your fathers illness and good luck with the sale.

THANKS

Thanks !, there is no urgency to sell the car ,I think I will give it a good wash and put it in the garage possibly even get the wheels refurbished and then go from there .
