As another member said, it definitely is more of personal preference thing. I always tell my customers that if they even have any hesitation between the v2 and v4, just get the v4s. Have not had anyone with regrets.

I've owned both the V2's and the V4's and there's really no comparison... V4 >>>>>>>>> V2
Yes sirreee. It's hard to be any better than this!

The v2s LED gap is visible about <20 feet out. Any more than that, it pretty much appears like a full. And obviously cameras have a tough time capturing light properly, which is why pictures aren't always a good representation unless the photographer knows what he's doing.

V2 vs V4.

The V4 on mine looks beaded because they sent me bigger sized rings. Besides that, it won't look beaded

V2

V4

Maybe we differ in how we view the gap then.

I personally think v2 gaps are easily visible up close.

Here are three pics with controlled exposure to illustrate my point:

I concur with what you're saying. It's just that the inner ring of my V4 looks beaded in the pic. I think it's because I got the 9x ring instead of the 8x ring. Which makes it look more beaded. Other than that, V4 are brighter and less beaded looking.

Ahh, haha. I totally forgot that they were still sending out the wrong size for awhile.
