Tunnel of love
Well guys, after a couple days the car has quieted itself down a little bit, I guess the ECU needed to adapt again, so its not as loud as it first was.
Today I was driving down the freeway and found a tunnel... with no traffic in it. Enjoy: [u2b] <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/A30aKhoNsdc&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/A30aKhoNsdc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>[/u2b] |

Lol its possible
Here are my 5 day impressions of the car after the swap: I have logged about 500 miles since I installed on Sunday, at first the car was DEAD on the bottom end, and I mean dead. the top end was giant though. without the time for the ECU to adapt it was a little odd. So it goes to 2 extremes immediately after the install. After driving it and messing with the O2 sims to find the right settings you will notice your car being able to launch better and gains back some low end power while the Mid and Top end gain substantially. Its noticeable in the Butt Dyno without question. If you baby the car to 2500rpm and then step on it - it throws you back pleasantly and when your doing some spirited driving - it really performs. since you dont do real driving in the low RPM, the power is just sick, the car will accelerate much faster then stock and the Gintani tune is still active and keeping the car on its toes. I still need to run an accurate 0-60 from a standstill with no rev launch to see exactly whats up, but I know im practical situation there is more usable power without question. I hope to dyno this weekend so I can get some paper proof of the power, I will post it up as soon as I get it back. |
