Just got my 2009 328i! What now!?

So first off, this is my first BMW and first car i have ever been proud of. Its a Jet black e90. I am thinking about completely blacking it out, but i have actually never made any mods to cars before and would love some help leading me into the right direction. Thank you everyone!

i just got mine last week too! .. i cant figure out how to put pics up off my phone tho... -_- haha .. i personally think the "murdered out" or "blacked out" look is played out and kinda ghetto..
i have jet black im doing gloss black kidney grills i just put on my e90 m3 sedan wheels which are machine finished (gives it a very nice contrast) and i got 35% tints which look more like 20's haha but yeah congrats man and good luck.
l.e.d for the halo's is a must!

Before "blacking it out" or what people here call the "murdered look". PLEASE keep in mind that a stock car with black bits looks ghetto and cheesy. If you're going to do it, do it right. Buy lowering springs or coilovers if you can afford it and lower the car. THEN get some nice black wheels. Gunmetal VMR VB3s are a hit from **********s.com. After that go blackout crazy.

Thumbs down

I agree that "murdered" out has played out. IMO it looks like you took a perfectly good car and made it look like a manufacturer test mule all blacked out with black steel wheels. The kind you to which you are supposed to attach hubcaps.

Congrats man

Why don't you browse the photo/media section...

Get a better idea of what people are doing and see what you like and don't like.

TBH asking other people how to mod is kinda like asking other people how to dress yourself.

I think Alloy/titanium color looks great on black E90, with a nice tint to complement the rims even more.

Thanks for everones input. After cleaning it today I realized how nice it is how it is. Lol but I think my main concern will be new wheels, not to found on the ones I got now.

This is it, i don't know where to go for the new wheels, I am thinking I want to stay as close to oem as possible. Is there any sites I can get wheel and tire combo? If there was a place around me in nor cal I would go in person to look at some.

Welcome!
To start things off, the most common mods would probably be the first two

Black grilles
Angel Eyes
Lower (springs or skip to coils if your financial situation allows it!)

As for the bigger mods, I suggest you take your time and research before you pull the trigger

Best of luck with your modding!

When I get a new used car I start doing mechanical inspections, check that the alignment is right, change every fluid from head to tail, not start doing cosmetics. I guess that's just me....
