HELP NEEDED! E90 Service Manual: Valve Cover Gasket

Im getting ready to replace the valve gasket cover and bolts (had 2 broken bolts). Im looking for a DIY on the E90. Does anyone have a pdf or link to a pdf of the Bentley e90 service manual? Im just looking for this section. I think i can do every part, im just concerned about taking off the putting back on the Vavletronic motor. Any help or suggestions or images would be greatly appreciated.

Im new to the forums so if there is a link out there please forward on to me or email me at:

Any chance you could re-enact this bolt replacement with pictures?

Not really... Just look up the spark plug replacement tread to get the plastic cover off. After that just look for broken bolts. You should be able to carefully and patiently remove the shaft of the broken bolt with a pick. If you have to you can use an extractor bit on your drill but you need to be careful to only get the shaft of the bolt. IMHO the pick wwas the easiest option... Just spun the old out.

Thanks Brian, I'll be sure to try the pick option first. (If that ends up being my problem.)

I'd check on your year / model but for my 11/05 prod 330i it's #5 in the below link.

How much lb/ft do you need to torque the bolts to?

Thanks!
