Snow Performance or AEM methanol Kit??
I am new to the game of Meth and after doing some research and hearing about Meth kits available, I am still stumped on which is better, plus I went to a local speed shop and the installer recommended to me the AEM vs the Snow Performance one even though they were a authorized SP dealer!!...I have read FormerBoosted IS DIY about the Snow Peformance kit and it looks nice as hell, but it seems as though the AEM kit is already equipped with all the necessary upgrades that Snow doesn't provide, but needs to be purchased, I may be wrong though, I just can't understand why a authorized SP distributor would recommend another brand?? Another question is the fact of needing two nozzles vs one nozzle, I mean if I am going to use Meth its going to be for a race map only feature, so I would think spraying one nozzle is enough, but is two nozzle two extreme??..Can anyone elaborate on the AEM kit?? I just checked out a nice video from AEM's website...Here's the link to the video.

I heard snow is the shit. You never know he might be like a Mcdonalds worker that hates his job just being an idiot.

In case I'll jump on meth after the warranty period ( next July ) I would go with snow. I have a brand-new diesel kit laying around and would update to Gasoline, latest Stage 3 available.
I'm happy that meth on the N54 seems to work fine. Anyways, I wait a couple of months to see whether there are drawbacks. In addition to this I ask myself how often I would have the need for meth. My car is strong, has not any issues and I'm not after more power. For playing around, I could always buy a used Audi A3 Turbo and tune it until it collapses ... |

I've heard many times that Meth is not good for the engine's metals. Especialy to the N54 which is aluminium made.
Anyone's knows something on this ?

Im running a AEM kit. Its great!!! The kit comes with everything you need. The tank and pump fit in the back and you just run a line to the front. It was recomended by Johnson from Ultimate Racing. He knows his shit.

I am probably going with Snow, but still waiting to see what Shiv will go with...I am just wondering is the two nozzle system just overkill and will one nozzle spray be enough to quench the thirst for the N54?

With one nozzle i can spray enough to kill performance. Two small nozzles should be better but i dont think its a big difference at this stage of n54 tuning.

Second, if you methanol controller can command two nozzles, then you can easily turn one off when not at the track so you are only using a little. It makes conservation very easy. |
