Yeah, probably the Z4 sdrive35is DCT and other variants of the Z4 sdrive35i.
Or the Z8. Or the 650i. http://www.zeroto60times.com/BMW-Bim...mph-Times.html According to that website, the sdrive35is can do 0-60 faster than the M3.

The 135is and Z4 35is have the same engine and are about the same so it depends on the driver:
Wt goes to 135is @ 3439 (about 100lbs lighter). Hp goes to Z4 35is @ 335hp/5900 rpms (15 hp more). torque goes to Z4 35is @ 332/1500 (15 more). 0-60 same 4.8 seconds (if DCT for 135is). 1/4 mi guessing about 12.8 for both. I have had the opportunity to drive both. The z4 I drove was a modified Eissenman version, very fast, and lots of fun. My 135i was modified with 400 rwhp (FBO + Cobb Stage II), very fast, loads of fun, put a smile on my face each time i drove, and very tossible. Both are excellent cars, but since I have owned a 135 I will probably buy a Z4 35is at some point in the future. I dont think the Z8 counts...the one I saw was powered by the M V-8 engine.

Although its a far cry from the "lightweight" (for BMW) vehicles listed above, what about the 07/08 Alpina b7s? I thought they we running about the same 1/4 mile (12.8), and a 180 mph+ top speed to boot.
I assume that you excluded 2013 models because of the new variants being released? I think there are several heading down the pipeline which should greatly exceed the pre-2012 numbers, but such is the nature of the game. Ps, I don't see why the z8 shouldn't count. It is, after all, a very fast "stock non-m" released before 2012 per OP (albeit a pricey one). |

Good point. Its Powerful, but certainly the convertible is not the fastest (per Edmunds)...
Track Test Results Acceleration, 0-30 mph (sec.) 2.0 0-45 mph (sec.) 3.3 0-60 mph (sec.) 4.9 0-75 mph (sec.) 6.9 1/4-mile (sec. @ mph) 13.1 I wasn't able to find the stats on the coupe but someone will chime in. |

Lol. Of course not, but I believe the request was "fastest", so we should technically only be looking at top speed (also not life's best measurement of general automotive driving pleasure). It is also difficult to objectively quantify handling without having at least all vehicles on the same rack in the same conditions with the same driver. Even then, how was the drivers day? Do you have a better method of comparison? We could add skidpad, slalom, & braking numbers to the comparison, but that could add a layer of confusion.
Simlarly, I'm sure the numbers are all skewed by DCT or manual gearbox (another place for a heated topic about life pleasures to be found behind the wheel). The manual 650 coupe per road and track was about a half second slower than the auto in a 1/4, but many would argue more pleasurable to drive. |

335is!!
60 in 4.5 and the 1/4 in 13 at 108/109 mph. Should be on par or faster than the 135is because of the overboost that the 135is does not have. |

BMW also understates their 60 to times.. but the 760Li is rated at 4.5... interesting and you know it would slaughter 1/4 mile times of a 6 cylinder car.. turbos can't help you there. Hard to find 1/4 mile times for that car though, I can understand why haha
I always thought a TTV12 couldn't do much for a 5,000 pound car before 60.. but then again a TTV12 should be the the low 3 seconds, (Like Aventador) but this car packs 1,500+ pounds more so the numbers do make sense.

I had a fun little traffic light to traffic light run against a new 650i last night. I matched him, which surprised both of us.
