Jay, so does that mean it's not yet complete? If it is, post some pics. I already saw the ones with door trim. Want to see the dash.
Eric, looks good bro. Funny how we all are taking different paths but arriving to the same place. You probably have the best suspension in Sac. I got the LSD. Will with power. Ultimately, I want a car that looks fast and can play the part at any track. I think I'm getting close. |

LOL, how good that will be if we can transform the car with best handling, best power and best look. too bad my printer at home is not good enough to print some nice $100 bills yet, hahahaha.... gotta do it step by step =)
i was so close to drop my balls on a set of DPE... but man, that thing is..... don't wanna spend that much on wheels.

I'd go with the HSF-3. More failsafes, better control, and I think you get a flow guage. You would want the guage inside the car IMO so you can turn the system on and off and also to see if you are getting flow. Whether it's in the ashtray like mine or in the glove box, it doesn't matter.
I use a 1.0 mm nozzel (similar to a M10) but going to and a 2nd once I get the bigger turbos (always a good ideal to get 2 bungs just incase). Tap the washer tank to save some $ on a tank, ask Jeff to see if he has a drop in line yet. All in all, should be about $700-800 if you install. Prices did go up in the last month just because the interest of Shiv's kit. You can still go with a regular (non PWM) kit like Snow or Cooling Mist, even Devil's Own, for half the price. They all basically do the same thing, just that Aquamist is safer and delivers better.

^ Damn, thats sad. Did the 335i run a red light or just passing though the intersection and the old lady pulled out in front of him? Crazy how the BMW had little damage compared to that Olds., it attest to the safety of these cars.

Any one know if the 335 driver is a member here? Hopefully they are alright and they have a better excuse than "oops, I was texting"

Now she wants a small C class MB...I told he I wouldn't be caught dead driving that unless it says C63 AMG on the back.

Will,
Looking at Shivs kit, it makes me think the smartest move would be to buy the hfs3 plus shiv cp. That would cost 700 + 320. That's less than shivs 1100 kit. Plus it would work perfectly with his setup, come with items his doesn't (gauges and failsafe) and still be good if I change tunes. Thoughts? Thanks for the car compliments. And I agree on the mb comment. I'd only switch for the c63 at this point... Plus an LSD of course! Eric, Glad you made it out of that accident. That's some serious damage! Oh, and like the norm it seems, I will be out of town on the 15th so can't do that meet. Sucks. |

Dan,
Do you need his chargepipe? You can save a lot of money buy just buying a meth elbow for like $40, or another brands chargepipe like Evolution Racewerks for a lot less. Also, head over to n54tech and see what the other camp is up to, I like his pump mounting location too. Jeff made some custom mounting brackets as well, you can probably get one for cheap, they go behind the bumper infront of the driver wheel well.

Thanks! Looking forward to a new front bumper....I need that bigger air dam. Also, the fogs are removable correct? Or do I have to use a dremel and have it look ugly?
Off to do yard work for the evening, Dan or Eric text me if you have meth questions.

LOL, not anytime soon now... cuz i might get a BIG oil-cooler install first. got a pretty good price from IPB. i may pull my trigger on the OC to calm down the high oil temp first, it'll be no fun if i have too much power but oil temp keeps rising =)

Here's a great reason you guys need the FMIC and Meth. So I just drove home from work, approx 40 miles. I'm near my house and driving next to a red Vette (C5 i'm guessing). Not thinking anything of it because he was an older gentleman with his wife, we both get to a stop sign and I was about to drive off normally when I hear the roar of his V8 and him spinning wheels. Game on! After a 40 mile drive, when you would normally be completely heat soaked, I spun in 2nd but once I got traction and shifted to 3rd he was about 3 car lengths behind me. I only got to about 70 mph before it was a no contest and gave him a thumbs up. **Note I don't normally street race and am the first to say keep it on the track** but the road was completely empty and never went far above the limit. Just goes to show how much those 2 can keep IAT's down, feels like a car on cold mornings all the time.
