breaks on 2011 335is at Watkins Glen

I was at the Glen on 8/29 and after 20 minutes hard driving, 127 mph on the two straights, the breaks started to pulsate badly. I thought that I warped the front rotors but after they cool down they were ok. The instructor suggested that Hawk pads might help. Any other 335is owners experience this?

I don't think pads will solve your issue unless you get Hawk DTC pads. You've developed a hot spot on the rotor. You need to scrape it off. One way the worked really well for me was to wet the brakes with water and let the rotors rust. Then while the car was still cold, apply moderate brake pressure. The rust will scrub the brakes down. I did this for a couple of days and it cured my problem. You can also take your car to Auto Zone or similar store and have the brakes turned. The Hawk DTC pad is very aggressive and will remove pad material when you brake while it's cold.
