Discoloured Shadowline Trim
Hi guys, my shadowline trim (I think its called this, the window trims in black) is quite discoloured. Is there a way of restoring this or is a new set required?
Cheers, H |

Discoloured how?
Mine looked like it had watermarks through it - once I'd properly polished and waxed it though, it came up lovely

Mines is like the colour water goes when petrol/diesel etc. mixes with it. I think I'll give it a polish and see |

Apparently its something to do with what BMW use to clean the cars the first time round, (can't say how true this is, info comes from a detailer) but in any case its something to do with the cleaning method someones used on it.
Any polish will fix it and what ever you do DONT use T-cut. |

They will have probably "mopped it" not machine polished it All garages get easily mixed up with the terms . But its an easy fix with some normal car polish after all its only painted, you could do it by hand as it will get you a good enough finish.

It's usually old polish or oxidation.
I use either Clearkote Vanilla Moose... Or Werkstat Prime Strong...

Honestly, use that for EVERYTHING that's black & plastic, inside and outside the car. It's brilliant.

Oh, hang on... The wing mirror trims are painted gloss black, aren't they?
