Hi , found a lovely GTI edition 30 ,It is 23months old the dealer has implied the remainder is transferable 13 months .
Would anyone know if this is fact I just called VAG customer service and they close at 6pm TIA |

Didn't think it needed to be transferred? i thought as long as its less than 3 yrs old its under warranty regardless who owns it.

It has a 3 year warranty. Unless it's an import. Go for it the Ed30 was my last car. With a map and exhaust is over 300 brake. Check out the YouTube videos, it can keep up with the best if them.

No need to call up and transfer warranty, though doing it is good so VW know who the current owner is.
But yes the warranty stays with the car. Also you can call VW customer service to get an ED30 plaque e.g. 3 of xxxx. I do think that car is a bit expensive, that said it is loaded and has low miles. |

I sold my two year old ED30 for £19k, only two months ago!! Mine was 5 door in steel grey, with the touchscreen nav, and similar miles as this one. In fact, just noticed this one has xenons, which mine didnt. They really hold their money well. The red isnt quite so popular, but at £17500, thats a good buy, a very good buy.
I say go for it!

I have sort of agreed if it as mint as he said I will buy it for £17500.It has low miles and loads of spec ,full VAG history one owner TBH id rather pay a bit more for one with low miles and on a 08 most are 56/07 /57 with 20 k plus miles |

A nice E92 would be a better bet for him I reckon.

ive always had a soft spot for the ED30, love them bbs ch's, but have always been suspicious of the tartan though
they do keep their value and this one quite a low miler. if i was 22 i dont think id be disapointed with that! |

Go for it at anything around £17.5k, it's a good buy. VWs will always serve you well with depreciation (see my sig.) At only 9k miles it won't be run in yet, plenty of years good motoring there.
But beware, when "the boy" chips it, and puts an exhaust on, this thing is super fast, no really, SUPER fast!!! Only prob is, it's red....

With a sh1te interior though, otherwise it would be a much better buy. I have seen some that have painted the dashboards and that makes them look a whole lot better
