Why did they warp. Both front and back?

Front and back. No-one knows. Haven't had a chance to take them to the track.

Took them to the track over the weekend, thought I had a warping issue, but it was the Stoptech pads causing the problem. They were leaving deposits.

Bringing back an old thread -- I need new rotors and pads -- was planning on going with the combo Mr.5 recommended. Given this thread is dated, is this still a good option to go with?

Also, I can't seem to find anywhere to buy these..

Thanks!

You can buy them directly from their website.

That said, anyone run their rear disk for our cars? My stock one piece suffer from conical distortion under heavy track use, and gives me soft pedal feel once the disk cools down... Looking for some decent and cost effective replacement since I already have BBK at the front.

Are looking for replacement rings for your APracing kit. I'm not sure if the RB ring can fit the APracing hat. Is the patern, size and location universal? Is all possible. Perhaps some Brembo rings? I know APracing is their subsidiary so maybe some dimensions are shared.

Nono. I still have stock brakes at the rear. I don't see a point in upgrading the caliper at the rear as the track pads last for a dozen event for me with the front is doing most of the braking in this car. But the damn one piece rotors keep on wrapping (conical distortions due its one piece construction), so I always get a soft pedal that after a track day and takes forever to get back to normal as the pad to wear down and match up the original shape.

Just want to solve that issue once and for all, but the price for these rotors are too steep for me to experiment with. Would rather hear more solid reviews on these things first.

Althought, not 100% confirmed some front 2 piece rotors fit the e90 rear. I'm not sure because of the difference in parkig brake shoes among the models. But anyhow, all of these 2 piece rotors are not true 2 piece floting rotors so even if they do fit I think that you will continue to experience the same issue which is partly caused by the push and pull motion from your rear stock sliding calipers.

What kind of pads are you using?

Of course, one cool down lap without touching the brake.

The problem isn't uneven deposit or anything. But conical distortions with these stock style one piece, which is inevitable IMO when you push hard at the track. Was ok at some of the slower track. But Road America really does a number on the rotor.

Any upgrades to add airflow to the rotors?

I am talking about rear brakes by the way. Not much can be done back there

Looks like they have the two piece rotors for a little under $1k right now...

You could cut a portion of the backing plate away or just bent it and use it as a scoop for air.

That looks like a 911 rear suspension. Not sure if things like these would work with our lower camber arm.

Bending the plate wouldn't work since the rear calipers are mounted facing forward. You won't be scooping any extra air with the scoop facing backward.

Yeah, but stock rear rotors are barely $100 for a set... There are quite a few reports of catastrophic failures with these rotors floating (mounting pins failures, premature stress cracking on those open slots) around the Internet and it doesn't look like RB ever attempted to address the issues. That's why I am hesitant to drop money on these. All we need just some standard slotted rotors on a tried and true rotor hat designs...
