Finally Arrived Today

Finally picked up my car tonight. Love the car but the service was another story. I am 24 and this is the first time I am purchasing a car on my own so expected the dealer to be shady
First off they tried to add an extra 600 dollars to my contract which I kinda expected but than they did the whole acting scheme of let me double check and than changed it back to the agreed price. Than later since they owe me aluminum pedals and carpet which were throw ins he gave me the carpet but than took my duty way bill which states he owes me the pedals and carpet. Lucky I asked for it back or else when I come back tomorrow to pay off the rest of hte car I am absolutely positive they wont give me the pedals. Aside from that mishap my navigation is not working which says please insert dvd even though I did I assume he gave me the wrong disc or something is wrong there. Finally after they took the car for a wash before giving it to me they took my flashlight and spare key holder. Sigh I hope they dont treat all customers like that. I finally appreciate the great service mercedes use to give me. But besides that the car is great. Love the ride can't wait to get it on the road tomororw morning.

Another question anyone had that problem before with teh navigation stating please insert dvd even though you inserted it. Is it because of the wrong version disc or is there some other problem any help would be appreciated

Which dealership in California did you purchase your Bimmer from? In the next week or two, you will be getting a call from BMW and they will ask you to rate there service. If there is anything that you were not satisfied about, you should let them know in the survey

I got it from New Century BMW closest to my house which is less than a 10 minute drive. I will definitely let them know about how I feel through my survey.

they either gave u the wrong dvd or didnt give you one at all. In this case you should go back there and tell them that if they dont give you everything they've agreed on, you will give them all 1's on the survey. I would find another dealer to service my car if I were you.

Tell them that they have a rating of all 5's coming to them if they fix all of your issues. Let the salesman know because he will lose some big bucks if they don't get all 5's. He should do anything for you at that point. You should tell them of all the things that are missing. Check the trunk and make sure all your tools are there as well. Good luck!

no New Century is in Alhambra on main street they will be moving locations by november down a few blocks across from edwards renaissance theatre and yeah I will definitely do that today when I go back. Nobody likes to be deceived I will try to post some pictures tonight. I just want respect the fact that they even try to pull stunts like that show they have no respect for me at all.

Wow, what a delivery story.

I'm glad you're aware of everything going on....doesn't sound like a dealership that BMW should be proud of....

Yeah the lucky thing is 8 weeks ago when I ordered the car I was prepared for this that is why when I put my deposit I asked him to sign on the receipt stating the out of door price and initial it. If he didnt do that when they added 643 dollars to my total amount I think I would have had to argue the price again. Lucky I had proof I really advise everyone that is planning to order the car if they have never had previous relationships with that dealer before to at least write down the agreed upon price and initialize it therefore they cant deny it. I hope noone has to deal with this situation but in the end its a business and I got a pretty good deal I assume thats why they try to get some of that money back. But bad way to do business if you cant offer that good deal dont do it in the first place dont try to deceive me to get some of hte money back
