The HPF fmic uses the factory connections. Great for install and reverting back to stock. Not great for flow, though the believed improvements with smoother couplings and larger dia pipe going to the charge pipe (ets) may be so small as to be insignificant. No one knows but I'd guess smooth silicone couplers replacing the stockers would provide marginal improvement over stock.
