Well it's the one on box in front of me with a new solenoid in it, and the one in doughboy's realoem link !

I have the same problem c ars going in on tues.
Have had the ignition coils replaced previously but am thinking its a solenoid issue this time.

Sorry to bump and old thread. Can you tell me if the new solenoid fixed this problem? Just bought a 335i yesterday with this issue. No long cranking and only goes into limp mode when I have been hitting the high revs. I think the solenoid has gone.
