Thanks for the info. I just purchased a new CF trim, so, this will help big time. Some of the pictures don't work anymore, but i'm assuming it's no big deal

I'm sorry to be tedious but I am trying to follow this DIY (going from wood to aluminum trim) and some of the pictures on this DIY are not showing up. Is that just me?

here's some info for those that need it -- taken from my thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134999 Anyway, I went down to Tischer BMW, and Jason Reighard really helped me out. He told me everything i will and might need, so I ordered accordingly. Anyway, here is what i got: (07) 51-45-8-266-808 PIN (20) 51-41-6-976-220 Threaded Bolt (01) 51-16-7-132-376 Spectacles Tray Then, there were issues with the center console in general -- i read somewhere on this forum that the clips for the center vent couldn't be removed, etc... so I just ended up buying everything in the parts list. So, i got these as well (which i'm currently waiting on) (07) 51-41-976-220 Threaded Bolt (these are the same as above, but I will just keep them as backup) (01) 51-45-7-146-751 Clamp -- not really sure what this is for yet (10) 51-45-7-152-442 Plug-In Retainer -- not sure what this is either (02) 51-45-7-146-752 Clip -- ? I will let you guys know what can be used over and what can't be used. Jason also told me that whatever I don't use, i can bring back -- since he was also unsure what was [exactly] required... however, seeing how these things are just about a dollar or so, I think i'll just keep the rest as spares as Jason has been truly helpful in helping me out with this... __________________ |

hey there. i just finished my interior like yours with dinoc vinyl. it looks awesome like yours!! Thx for the DIY.
I just have a quick question. I want to do the shift knob trim as well. but i see that you haven't done ur either. I'm just wondering if that trim can be removed. i wanted to poke at it and try pulling it out. but... i'd like to see if you can even remove it. |
