2006 pre-lci E90
Hello, can you please advise on front and rear winter tyre sizes I can get away with? I currently have 255/35/18's and 225/40/18's rear and front respectively for the summers. Thanks.

225/40/18 or 225/45/17 all round will work nicely, check brake clearance if using smaller 17" wheels.
wheel offset ET 30-36 will be fine if you're trying to find BMW or aftermarket wheels for winters, I went for ET 32 on a set of 8Jx18" BBS alloys with 225/40/18 all round (Pirelli Sotto Zero II runflats). failing that, you can replace the entire set with a staggered winter setup, but this means you can't rotate the whole set for several winters' even wear and the tyres are more expensive. |
