Water Pump & Thermostat Replacement - Tampa
Has anyone in the Tampa (Westchase) area had to replace their water pump and thermostat and would be willing to lend a hand? I am more than willing to pay for some assistance. My car just over heated on the way back from the grocery store. Going to call around tomorrow for the parts. I just read over the DIY and I'm pretty sure I can tackle it myself but having someone that has done this before would be a huge help.
Thanks! |

And I did some shopping around and @LocDawgg was correct. The site he suggested (thebmwpartstore.com) was the cheapest by about $40. Last edited by BoostedE90; 05-22-2013 at 09:07 AM.. |

That's odd. My friends e92 broke down conveniently right off i75 half a mile from reeves and it was a water pump failure. They replaced the water pump and thermostat for $1000 out the door and they finished it in less than 3 hours. Best deal I've heard of from a dealership price

Also another shop to check out if you choose to not DIY this, Lutz Performance over on Dale Mabry, they have some great mechanics over there. -James |

I truly appreciate your response and for confirming the part numbers. If I do decide to DIY I'll definitely get a hold of you. Might take it to Reeves if they can do it for $1000 as stated above. Unfortunately, I called Lutz this morning and I was quoted for parts, labor, and tax came out to $1421. I've heard really good things about Lutz from other members, but have never used them myself. Again I truly appreciate your response. Jeremy |

FWIW with Reeves, if your mileage is over 75k, they have a "75k club discount" of 15pct, helped me recently replacing my starter. I bought my car there, but if you have miles it might help to mention.
