Bang from back of car and smaller arch gap

So I was driving out of work and went over a speed bump (very slow might I add) however these speed bumps are like curbs. As my back wheel touched there was a loud bang and the rear left now sits lower. I had h&r sports fitted about 4 months ago spring looks to be fine I have had a garage look at it twice and they can see nothing wrong with it only that it is noticeably lower. Any thoughts on this it's really winding me up!
Thanks
Rhys

Have you counted the number of coils on the spring..?

Sounds silly but the same thing happened to me on my old E46 and was only noticed when I took it for an MOT... at first they couldn't tell what was wrong but they new something was wrong. After a lot of looking they finally counted the coils on each side and found that one side had broken. The broken part had fell off and left the rest of the spring in place making it look normal but lower.

I could be wrong but certainly worth a look.

Thanks for the advice guys I thought the same thing about the spring and when I took it to the garage the second time u specifically asked them to check whether just he last or first part of the cool had snapped. Good idea about counting the coils il get the wheels off and check. The garage has checked everything the only thing they noticed was that the suspension adjustment was completely different between both rears and they suggested getting the hunter alignment doing. However pre bang the rear was perfectly level and immediately after the bang it wasn't im still not convinced that as u say a part of the spring hasnt snapped.
