CDV delete in e90 320d

Can I confirm I am on the right lines please?

I recently bought a 2006 e90 320d. Lovely car, only problem is the clutch.

Pulling away in first, mostly when cold (as in car not warmed up, even at warm outside temps) is variably juddery: sometimes moderate, sometimes awful, no matter how careful I am with my clutch.

Going from first to second, shakey and sometimes juddery, just not smooth and nice.

This is the CDV, right? And if so, do I remove the whole valve, or just the grommet inside it?

And lastly - anyone recommend me somewhere in Dorset that will do it?!

Or you have a knackered dual mass flywheel.

Dmf's are the creation of the devil

Mine has seen better days but its probably the CDV that has increased its wear rate

Hmm, thanks for the input guys. My local independent mentioned that as well as a possibility a while back. Difficulty is that when I take it to the garage it's warmed up and tends to act better!

He suggested leaving it there overnight which I think I'll do.
