i called turbo lab today he quoted me $1100 for stock rebuild with rattle fix and 4-6weeks turn around time..

Thank You. I'm almost sure the warranty is out....they played me well. When i first brought it to their attention they beat around the bush and told me it was normal and that when the time comes they would replace......after i knew my time was up, went back there and was told the car was too old and although it had low miles there is nothing they could do about it.

I assume you will be doing this job on your own? When you start, please let me know. I doubt this path is the one I would likely take as downtime would be my biggest killer.

same here i found a guy in miami that could do it in a week for $850 and i will just buy the rattle fix and have him install it for me

You can get new replacement turbos for $1000. Why would you save $150 but keep your used ones?

Let me know if these turbos are good ones and will not rattle. I swear the rattling is the biggest issue i have now. I would go back to stock turbo in a heartbeat IF someone can assure me that the new design is solid and will NOT rattle.

im dealing with rattle and smoke after exhaust install.. i just saw someone on fb remove both turbos with out dropping the subframe.

Messgaged him and he recommends Vargas. Other turbo manufacturer on the list also are hexon, pure, rb, vtt.

i just got used turbos for $375 with 52k on them. might throw these in and set my old ones aside to rebuild myself. i just gotta find a place that wil balance the shaft..

do you know which turbo it is.. try this first if it is the rear turbo.. costs nothing and while annoying you can do it with the hood open.

if not i have used turbos if you decide to go that route.
