BMW 1M - Driven at Brands Hatch

On my recent trip to Brands Hatch, with BMW on tuesday, I got a chance to drive the 1M round the circuit, nothing above 90mph(we were only supposed to do 70!) and not with the M button on, but I have to say how impressive it felt, nice wide track, very planted feeling, brilliant feedback through the steering and a great noise. If I wasnt so happy with the 911, Id consider one! The car I drove was number 1 of 450, if I remember correctly and had already covered 8500 miles!!

Insurance, I presume, no helmets etc etc.

I wasnt reigned in on the M3 track car, where out of approx 45 people I scored joint top with 90pts! We also had passenger rides with Tiff Needell and Nick Foster, screamed Cooper works cars around the car park, and handling tests in a 650!

brilliant day once again, thank you BMW

Oh and youre right, it is just a sexy car. I actually saw another on my way home. I did consider putting an order in, but the drive home in the 911, confirmed I love the Porsche too much.

So it was Tiff drifting the M3 round Druids, I guessed it wasn't any of the guests!

The M3's sounded the nuts going up Hailwood, and it looked like you all had a great day, although you f*ckers made our track day a late start, selfish barstewards

The IM looked impressive

M3's were the stars though, sounded great

I had a great time on the track, fantastic value (£49.00), apart from the MPG

i think they all say 1 of 450, rather than have individual build numbers

That 12.8mpg photo isn't an M3 unless they started making a diesel model I don't know about (check the fuel gauge!).
