Lightbulb Shift Light for Paddle Shifters?

Hey everyone,
Has anyone coded the shift light for paddle shifters?
I saw the 6MT options in the code list. Will it work for the AT?
I have an 08 335i with AT and I think the shift light in M mode would be excellent!

jb4 tune has a shift light feature that lets you use the blinkers to flash at whatever rpm you want.

Thanks, I'm aware of that but installing a non factory device isn't what I'm after.

I use torque app for android with racing meter pro plus Bluetooth adapter and have shift lights on my phone. Can even program different rpm thresholds for each gear's shift light.

I guess my 1st question is What shift light?

I've seen a lot of AT 3 series cars & none of them have a shift light, nor do they have the option of one AFAIK...

Only shift light is in the M DCT clusters - and yes, you can retrofit/code an M DCT cluster for any 3 series car, but you still can't get the shift lights to work as they are commanded to work by the tranny, & the normal AT does not afford that signal.

Personally, I use the P3Cars Vent Gage - you can set the RPM you want the shift light to come ON - it flashes the display rapidly/brightly at shift point chosen. You can't miss it (even out of the corner of your eye) while driving.

In the end, the AT will not allow you to hold the tranny in gear past it's programmed max RPM for every gear anyway. The 'tranny nanny' will automatically 'Down' or 'Up' shift the car regardless of whether you have it in 'Sport' mode or not at it's preprogrammed max shift RPM.

Ok, I was going off of the options in the NFRM. Even though I have an AT the 6MT options are in there. I have the Alpina flash installed and it changes the gauge gear display, so I was wondering if that flash would allow a Shift suggestion via gauge cluster.
It looks like I will have to try enabling/disabling options and post the results.
