Can anyone access service history?
My friends BMW has it's book lost. He managed to call BMW UK and they told where it was serviced.
After calling first stealership all was fine but second dealer in Bedford (BMW Elms) doesnt keep record of cars which were not sold by them even the car was servcided there. How stupid is that ? Anyway tried calling BMW uk and they cant tell for some idiotic reason dates and waht was done at each service. If I provide VIN or reg plate via PM can anyone look in bmw systems and pull report for me ? |

Why is it idiotic?
It doesn't benefit anyone, only daft owners who lose their history. Dealers are just franchises like macdonalds, they have no reason to keep history on anything, why would they? Rule no.1 - history is important, don't lose it. |

You could try your local stealer and take all the keys. They should be able to read the things / services from your keys. Or you could ask that stealer that if you send them your key (main one), would they be able to gather the service information and stamp the service booklet? Good luck.

I think you've got to find a helpful dealer who wants to help you out - few and far between these days!
