Exhaust knock on startup
Just wondering if anyone has come across this got any suggestions.
Every time I cold start the car I can hear a thud from the exhaust hitting the steel plate or the tunnel when the engine turns over first time. After that its fine. I checked and all the brackets on the pipe are attached so cant figure it out Joys of a cold 4 pot diesel. Any suggestions on stopping this apart from changing to a nice 330i

Rubber hanger perished, allowing too much movement..?
