Well I got my Black Lines and 35% Tint.
Now I'm waiting for my black grill. I just took these quick.

I just put on my black grill (in the rain).
I took about 8 minutes. Now I have to get a black license plate frame.

I've gotta admit, I had never seen the sparkling graphite in person, only in the advertisements. I had my beautiful black saphire 325i with burl walnut and tan leather all picked out and ready to go. I sat in it at the dealers shortly after it came in off the boat. Then my dealer showed me a sparkling graphite with a black leather interior. It had more options then I had planned on ordering, and I wasn't crazy about the brushed aluminum trim. After comparing the two side my side, the SG really seemed to highlight the graceful lines of the car better. I also thought the graphite might be a touch easier to keep clean. After having the car for almost a week, I'm so glad I went with the graphite over the black. It does give off a puple tint in some lighting situations, but man, in the sun it is a blazing array of green, blue, red, all soaked in a background of liquid metal. I really like the black leather and aluminum now too. It feels more "sporty" as opposed to simply "classy".

SG maintenance
Hi all, trying to decide between Titanium and SG. To be honest, Black is beautiful but high maintenance - scratches easy, etc, so I won't go that route as I know myself better than to chose that route. Anyone have solid experience with taking care of SG and care to comment on maintaining it versus something like Titanium?
Appreciate your time in advance. Pj |
