AST 5200 Installed

Full review + real pics + track day review coming soon

All I have to say right now is....

The car is on rails. Bumps in corners that normally unsettle the suspension no longer have any effect. I can tell that there's going to be a huge difference already. I'll know next time I'm at my local track (NJMP Lightning/Thunderbolt) and measure the time difference

I wish it was warmer in the PA area. I'm hardly getting grip on any of my summer tires in ~40 degree weather. I need it to be 80 and sunny right now.

I had the opportunity to ride in this car and let me restate the original post:

PLANTED.

The car just points. It is 100% driver input, no loose parts of the suspension/chassis/diff are there to soak up your inaccuracy. You point the car, it goes, never hesitates.
Plus the amount of feel that gets transmitted through the chassis - mind-blowing compared to stock suspension.

What a crazy suspension!! I love it!

Fantastic setup! I was able to drive his car the other night. Unfortunately, cold weather, worn RFTs up front and near R-comps rear didn't add up to a lot of grip.

What I can say is that the car feels much more controlled, very progressive and easily caught when the back end steps out (quite easy with the cold weather). Of course roll-control is very flat. Transition from side-to-side is much quicker because you're not waiting for the car to roll and then set. This car just sets into the turn immediately.

An LSD is required to really take advantage of all the suspension components. Luckily, Steve already has this (Charles, I know you've sung the praises of an LSD also). I too have been a fan of the LSD. It really allows you to balance the car mid-turn and the suspension work to it's fullest.

Can't wait to give it a try in the warm weather with better tires up front
