If his car is stock: No way! Why does he think that he can beat a M3? LOL!

Get on a strip and try

If you are both stock, most likely a driver's race. What is the elevation where you are at? NA engines lose more power at higher altitudes that FI engines. So if your at a higher elevation, you probably win.

From a dig? From a roll? Is your car stock. There is alot of elements that factor in. I would say stock to stock a 335i should pull if it isnt heatsoaked. I would give the edge to the 335i especially from a roll. Or drop 500-700 dollars on a tune and dont waste your time ever again with a 370z.

But seriously, if your car is at all power modded, you're walking on that 370. FBO from a roll and you'll put bus lengths on him.

370z if stock vs 335i at sea level.

335i's aren't the fastest cars out there. I don't know why some people here get their panties all wadded up when they get compared to "lower" brand cars.

Face it, there are faster cars out there for less money or cars that are just as fast that are leaps and bounds more reliable.

Think about the Veyron owners when they find that an AMS tuned GT-R can run with them at 1/10th of the price.

You got a 3 series with a turbo. It's relatively fast, has good handling characteristics, semi-luxurious interior and a good looking car (I'm biased towards the e92). It's a well rounded car in my books for the price. Not the best in all categories but a good compromise on all important aspects in my opinion.

If you want to be faster, get a tune, dp, upgraded intercooler, meth kit, bigger turbos, blah blah blah. In the end, there's always someone faster.

I agree.

I didn't get a 335i to be super fast. I love the handling of this car, and test drove all manufacturers "sports cars" including the fr-s, 370z, is350, etc etc. The 335i had the best "feel" if you will. But you're right, there are tons of other cars that are faster AND cheaper (even with mods!) than a 335i. the lines of the 335i was love at first sight to me.
To each his own.

You also have to take into consideration if racing straight, or curves. There's a saying "fast cars will win on straights. fast drivers will win at turns."

Race them (at a track) and if you win you can gloat... if not you probably came close and your in a much better rounded car without the cramped interior of the 370

Depends on the driver.

Stock it'll probably be even...

370's are slow.
