You miss the point Carlos. Dye the leather black so that the brushed ally then looks good.

Wood is so incongruous with a "sports" car/image - I'll never understand it. Ever see a porsche with wood in it ? Or a ferrari ? NO! No offence to those with wood, just my humble opinion

Thanks for the adivce chaps.
Spoke to the dealer today - seems that although it said "available" on their system, someone may of already got there first - will find out tomorrow hopefully. On the bright side, if thats the case, the hookers are back in the running |

Cant believe you are all so much against sunroofs.
I personally would not have a car unless it had a sunroof. I would trade a/c for it anyday. Even on colder days I much prefer to have the sunroof tilted and have fresh air in the cabin compared to the dried up smelly crap the aircon puts out. Each to his own i suppose

But then again I rarely drive during the middle of the day. Glass sunroof are there only to let some light into the cabin a metal sunroof is a waste of torsional strength When I had the BoxsterS I thought its worst feature was the folding roof so had a Cayman been available then I would have bought one...still might but deep down I know I'd want a 997 Like you say each to his own....

Most dealers I've spoken to say that having a sunroof actual loses money on resale! Still if you like them why not??
I reckon dark poplar wood or something like the dark bamboo they do on the new X5 goes really well with cream/biege leather. Black leather with matt titanium/alu. Wood don't go with black - local dealer had a nearly new M5 in black in and out. Looked the dogs from a distance, but as I got closer there was something really quite scary - light wood! It looked pants! Sales rep said they'd had people put deposits down on the phone, driven up from London town then run a mile when they saw the wood. They were debating whether it was worth retrimming it! |

Contrary to some comments, it does NOT make me a nobjockey! It won't have wood either,my contribution to sustainability stopped when I went for diesel as opposed to petrol, besides the wood effect reminds me of Morris travellers. If you like wood, plant a tree and hug it! "Exits right before the eco warriors flame me over a hickory barbeque" |
