Good deal or not for lease for 335 (all info inside).. Need opinions quick

Ok guys,

2009 335xi coupe

Car is mildly equipped:

MSRP of $47,745 INCL. Dest & handling. Options: heated seats, sirius xm, logic 7 sound, sport pkg with 17" wheels)

Invoice: 44,402 + $300 for prep = $44,702

The lease is a 36 month with 12k miles a year. Money factor: .00145 -- Residual is 59%

I am only putting down inception fees which are $2158 (1st month, bank fee, security deposit, up front tax $120, reg is around $150)

My payments per month WITH TAX are $565

Good / Decent / Bad?

Any comment? Thanks

you've left out details...... and why the heck would you put 2k out of YOUR pocket....when BMW is offering 2k lease cash....... You CAN use that towards your bank fee, first payment, registration, and use whatever is left over as cap reduction.......

Plus.....what's the "agreed upon" selling price of the vehicle? Also are you a previous BMWFS customer? What is the Money factor used??

I just redid the math on your inception fees and they're coming out to 2210, plus I don't even see registration anywhere....

I configured your spec'd car , and MSRP was 47,745.00....... with an invoice of 43,960 before ad+training fees.

.I don't know how it works in NJ....but that's the best I can offer with the details you've provided.

1)Can you explain the $2k lease cash? and putting whatever is left for cap reduction?

2)I have never leased through BMWFS.

3) Money Factor = .00145

4) The registration is $150ish

5) Agreed upon selling price: he's calling me back

1> In Socal there's 2k Lease cash on remaining 09 inventory...... thats fact

2> So you'll need to put down the security deposit out of pocket, because I recall BMW not allowing you to use the lease cash towards security deposit, I'm almost 95% sure on that one.

3> Instead of putting that 2k that you wanted down, put 4 additional Security deposits on top of your initial one. this will drop the .00145 MF to a .00117 MF.
-What this means to you is whatever extra interest you would have paid on the 2k that you roll into the lease payments will effectively be covered by the reduction in monthly interest you'll be paying with the lower MF.

4>Well recompile your numbers and present them in a professional organized manner, this way people will actually be able to help out. If you want to know if its a good deal.....gotta have all #'s.

5> This is the most IMPortant Part =)

Good luck with everything

PS: What color are you going for?

WHITE on black with dark maple or aluminum trim.

I spoke with the guy, the $2k lease cash is already in the deal, hence why the "monthly payment" is so low.

The 4 additional securities, doing it that way lowered the monthly payment about $20 a month.

Anything else I should say to him. He was kind of confused how I knew so much

Thats a decent deal. I would do it.

I thought the lease cah could only be used to lower the cap cost and not used for the fees.

If you like the color combo and it has the options you need then do it.

Well I meant put the lease cash towards swallowing the inception fees. This way you're not risking any of your own money. If anything happens 9 days or 9 months from now, you'll receive your security deposits back, otherwise if you had put your own cash down towards inception fees, that cash would be lost.

To make it simple, BMW is offering to take ALLLLLL the upfront risk off your shoulders, and literally make it possible for you to get into a new car with ZERO out of pocket....

To give you an example, I recently helped a buddy get into a 328i coupe......

he wrote a check for $2,250 to cover his 5 extra security deposits and drove off with the car.
if he totalled that thing 5 minutes after he bought it.....he could go back and do the same exact thing AGAIN with no risk to himself.

Give it some thought...... its well worth the security of your $$ nowadays....

PS... didn't knew if you knew, if you've got the cash.....you can leave up to 7 additional security deposits, that will drop the MF .00049. Meaning your buy rate MF of .00145 will become .00096 and that will save a considerable amount of interest .

Good luck!!!

Well no cars are available with the options I want, in white, with a manual.. so I re did everything if I was to order a 2010... the rates given today (for september - possibly may change in a day or 2 for october) are as follows:

same msrp..

but money factor is .00185 and residual is 61% (the 09 was .00145 and 59%)

So with $2000 total out of pocket (inception) the payment is $599 a month... and with 4 additional (5 total) securities, total out of pocket is $5051, and the payment is $579 a month.. what do you all think?

Can they do better? This is through 2 leasing companies.. I got both the same number.
