Die Hards - In The Wet

Only in a Lotus can you have so much fun in the wet over Kirkstone Pass!

Yesterday morning, 6.30am off for a blast over the Peaks

Only one S1 owner braved it?? Thought they were supposed to be "hard"...??

He is hard mate, if you notice he's the only one with the top off, had it like that since 5.30am! he must have been bailing out all morning

Shame it wasn't a little more dry for you, bet you have to be on the ball when it's wet on those roads.

I think all of us had several 'Twitchy Moments', but we all made it home safely. At least the wet kept the flap cap brigade off the roads.

Yes mate, just as good as last Friday but in a different way....it was MY car this time so those moments felt much more real

Yes mate. It was supposed to be a 'breakfast run' but we got there about 8.35am and it didn't open until 10am

I used to live 5 miles up the road. These roads are where I started driving and they were great fun 20 years ago. Driving up through the lakes on clear roads in a sports car is one of motorings great experiences. This post brings back some good memories and reminds me I must go back soon.

Hitting Kirkstone Pass with no traffic is one of those great motoring moments. We had an awesome run even in the wet.
