After driving about a mile the LIMP cleared.
After the LIMP cleared, I tested it again and I could not induce a LIMP. I even tried a Kickdown from 6th to 2nd Gear but nothing.
I'm not sure if I was making the care adapt too fast?

Eugen, did you disconnect battery and do a full adapt again when you tested?

I'll do some more testing today and get back with you.

Cheers!
Very interesting. I only did the full adapt once, when I installed the AA Active Processor. Please let us know about your further testing results .

For those of you with step and running problems...what are your production dates? I noted, looking on realoem.com, that early production step 335i's in the EU had a different ECU part number. That may or may not be your problem.

I'm back from my testing run.....

NO LIMP Modes!

The car is running great. I noticed this morning in DS that the car was still adapting but soon after the car settled. One of the things I find most amazing is how I can lose traction in third gear ~70 MPH! Not as easy as 1st and 2nd gear but DTC did kick in after shifting into 3rd.
Another amazing thing is how hard the Car pulls during the Kickdown mode around 40-50 MPH.
It is just a great tune.
I wanted to say thanks to Eugen for his review of this tune.
BTW, I'm not trying to

Hey Everyone,
I'm posting on Eugen's thread to keep the AA issues together and I'm not trying to .
Last night I started having issues....
First the Service Engine Light come on last night.
When I would try to go WOT, the car would 'bog' and didn't feel right. So I would stop the car and restart.
As I would take any gear above 5500 RPM, the car would start to 'bog' again.
So this morning I went the Advance Auto Parts and purchased a code reader.
The code stored was:

"DTC (Codes)
P1434
Manfacurer Control.
Auxiliary emission
Controls"

I reconnected the electrical connection for the "Golf Tee Mod".
I also replaced one of the "T" connections I broke earlier on the Vacuum lines. The "T" I replaced had a smaller diameter than the OEM one, so I went out bought another one with a larger diameter.

Now, the car is running great and no problems.
So I'm not sure if the "Golf Tee Mod" could of been the culprit or the "T" connection?
I will go out again this afternoon and tonight and try it again.

Does anybody have any other ideas what might be the culprit?

Disconnecting the electrical plug on the exhaust solenoid is what threw that code. I don't believe that's related to your problem.

so you got your software updated?

I'm still on the table to having this installed. I don't want to deal with failures.

I would take time so that the ECU can adapt to the tune and disconnect the battery during the install. IMO the new AA interceptor is a good product, I like it. I also updated the ECU SW already, Jan./Feb. 2008.

Thought I would chime in, seems I have had mine in longer than most.
First I installed it and it adapted very quickly, but had to take it to the dealership to have the ticking noise looked at , but that was there way before.
Than I put it back in and it has been in for over a week now.
I love it, it feels very smooth and like some have said low end torque feels great. This weekend I was racing my friend, he has a Volvo S60R, DPs, FMIC, Exhaust; all I have is the AAP. He was beating me off the line but when I hit 3rd I would take off on him.
So I am very happy, now I just need to get my DP and I should be able to beat him off the line.

HTML Code:
Processor: I was told that a map would be sent with my Processor according to what my MODs were. And i could add or change maps down the road and they would be working on new maps as well. They ONLY have 1 MAP. NO PLANS on ANY others. USER CANNOT add, change, or modify any maps.
I thought this was so also. That was the idea of the USB port.
Wanted the Attache but got tired of waiting.

Eugene, hows your gas mileage with the AA processor compared to stock? I have the 6spd manual and I feel like the mileage is worse than stock. Also because I drive a little bit crazy but I drove crazy before the install as well. Its been about a week and a half since the install, could it be the the program is still trying to adjust itself with the ECU, rather vice versa?

Ok sounds cool. I have it sitting around and I want to try it atleast once before... if I decide to sell it and grab the procede pnp harness. I like AA alot because I know there reality with products.
