VOTE: anthracite or silver wheels on jet black E90

Considering a second set of tires/wheels for winter. It's down to these two. Let's hear what you think.

Thanks for your input, guys!

I like the silver wheels because they look very similar to the OEM 161 style wheels. But the anthracite wheels look pretty sharp and won't look as dirty during the winter when I won't be washing my car as frequently.

The silver wheels are made by Rial, the anthracites by Borbet. Does anyone have any experience with either company?

Small world. I just bought some new wheels for winter for my black 328i and those were my 2 choices too. I finally decided on the anthracite wheels. The salesman from Tirerack suggested that the anthracite wheels have a tough and durable finish -perfect for the winter.

I like your stock wheels but of the two the gunmetal is best. I would love to see more wheels in a matte gunmetal finish.

Looks like the votes have swayed towards silver. Since my 330i has the chrome window trim and grill, I'm wondering if the silver would be a better match.

Perhaps the black would look better if the window trim and grill were blacked out like they are on the 328i.

Does anyone have pics of their own black e90 with the chrome trim and anthracite/gunmetal wheels? I'll see if I can find a pic of one online in case no one has one to submit.

Don't have chrome trim on my black 328i. But if you can wait a couple of weeks, I ordered the anthracite wheels from Tirerack. I can take a photo of what they look like on the car.

Cool - by the way, what size wheels and tires did you order? Can't wait to see the pics.

I think I found a good pic of each. I would go with the Rial Salerno wheels if I chose silver, so I found a pic of that instead. Thoughts?

Here are the Borbet LV5 anthracite wheels:

17 inches and Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tires. That looks like the wheels in the photo that you found.

Did you go with the 205/50 tires or the 224/45? Got any pics?

anthricite but i like the other wheels better... you probably want a smaller closed wheel face in the winter.

Wouldn't the open face wheel be easier to clean and less likely to have snow buildup inside the rim?
