Tire/wheel fitment on 2011 eci
Hello,
I am looking to get some 19 wheels and tires for my 2011 e90 335i xdrive m-sport lci. Going in I had no idea what I needed. I ended up deciding on Apex Racing wheels and am thinking Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. I had some questions on the sizes. I talked to someone at Apex Racing who told me the only wheel that would fit on my car without rubbing was the ec7 ET43 19x19.5. Something about the the 2011 lci changed something that anything else would rub. I am not looking to roll fenders. There are inventory issues on those wheels and I was told it would be months until the finish I wanted was in stock. I received an e-mail later that night saying the ET33 would work, but only with 255/30/19 tires as opposed to 265. I now have conflicting info the company and I haven't found the info I needed searching yet. Will the: 19x9.5" ET33 APEX PS-7 Wheel 19x8.5" ET35 APEX PS-7 Wheel fit on my car without rubbing with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/35/r19 255/30/r19 Thanks for the help, -nux Last edited by nux; 03-13-2015 at 08:59 AM.. |

ET33 is the highest ET in the 19x9.5 wheels besides the ET43 which is backordered 2 months out. I'm ok with 255 wheels in back if it means getting these sooner.

LCI has 8mm/side wider rear track than pre-lci. You can fit the 19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et33, but there is no way to be 100% sure that it wont rub occaosinally. Most likely you are fine since you have xdrive so it's not that low. Also the Michelin PSS is fat tyre so 225/255 combo is like other manufacturers 235/265 combo, so you wont even notice the narrower rear tyre. Read this trough. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=631569

I did see that post. I had assumed since they were lowered and I wasn't I would be good. I actually ordered the wheels shortly before I made this post as I saw a (6 left) in the wheel I wanted.
That's good to hear about the Michelin tire. I will pull the trigger on the tires and post some pics when I get them on. Thanks! |
