DIY Blacklines
So I ordered some LCI LED Blacklines, and found myself with way too much free time this weekend, due to massive rain storms. So I called up my local auto parts store and got some VHT Nightshades tint spray. It's the best spray tint on the market IMHO.
I then removed my tails, which is super easy... However while reinstalling them I broke one screw by over tightening, which is bullshit that thing was fragile as hell. I also dropped on nut and washer inside the car, because I just had shoulder surgery and its kind of hard to do this with one arm, so hopefully you won't have as much trouble doing so. Anyways I only did 2 coats for each lenses, and was very cautious to make sure that I sprayed each lenses in an identical fashion to further insure uniformity. Here is how it turned out! I'm mounting my Miro 111's on Tuesday so I'll hold off on pictures until then. |

Looks good but I'm not a fan of tinted tails...and definitely not tinted headlights. Btw this isn't blackline styling.

I guess I should have said tinted OEM tails. Oh well. They are poor man's blacklines. Oh and in the pictures it looks like the passenger side tail is lighter, its just the light. |

I agree...I am a fan of the Nite-shades product... used it a lot on my previous cars to tint a bunch of different lights. That product works great if your taping off sections or trying to do brakelight logos, etc...
I contemplated doing this as well (on the clear portion of the decklid lamps only) but ended up just ordering Blacklines. Looks like you did a nice job though. |

Nope, no blacklines for LCI E90s. I think the OP meant that his LED LCI tail lights that he plans on retrofitting onto his Pre-LCI E90 are on backorder.

There's no such thing as LED LCI Blacklines, nobody makes them yet. You're either talking about (1) LED Blacklines for Pre-LCI E90's, or (2) LED LCI tail lights, which can be retrofitted to a Pre-LCI E90 using a LCI trunk. |
