Is this normal?
I went to the shop and had my car lifted up to swap all 4 summer tires/wheels our for winter ones. To make the story short.. After they took all my 162s off the car and put on the 161s(by then the car is still on the lift, a few feet off the ground), tighten all bolts, the technician shaked the Rear wheels too see if they were tight and stiff...and they were. When he shaked the Front ones, they moved left and right(kind of like wiggles). When he shaked the LEFT front wheel,, the Right front one would move together with the left one. Then when I STARTED the engine(car still on the lift), and move the steering wheel alittle, Both Front wheels slowly tighten up and stiff.. Then I Reseted the TM SENSOR and drove off, no errors thrown out by the computer. so IS THIS NORMAL?

Not quite sure what your asking. Is it normal for them to tighten up or are you talking about the procedure?

Was the fob left in the slot while the car was up on the lift? If I'm not mistaken that would cause the steering to remain unlocked. Then when the car was started, the power steering pump would run and prevent them from further being pushed side to side. I think.

the key fob wasn't in the slot. Well. my question was.. was it normal for the FRont wheels to wiggle around(or side to side) simulatenously when it was up on the lift, then when i slid in the fob and started the engine.. they just tigthene up again.. .. then offthe lift, and it drove like normal...

There is usually a little bit of free play in the steering whell before the steering lock takes hold. So when the wheels was wiggled I suspect that was just the free play. And of course the front wheels would move simultaneously because they are connected by the steering rack. I don't think there is anything to worry about.
