GTA: Good place to buy shirts?
Hey guys, im looking for a few dress shirts.
need a good place to go for a few, what do you guys recommend? not needing a suit just a shirt, good quality but would like to keep it under $300. im looking for a casual colour like a nice green or purple or something with some class kind of tonned down so its not flashy tho, nothing grand father looking. Places i checked were Banana Republic and AF |

What's the budget? Is this for work or special occasions or really just casual (with jeans)
Since you were looking at Banana and AF then you may want to check out EXPRESS - believe they just opened up in Ontario. |

Well id like to keep it under 300/shirt, will buy more if price is more reasonable.
its for a casual interview i have next week, just to wear with a nice pair of jeans and clean shoes + belt. But i was in the market for a few anyways for whatever it be.. work/dinner/event |

I like Boss.....
Go down to Walden Galleria and you can get 2 shirts for $300. You can check out the Boss selection here: http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/hugo-bos...sizeFinderId=0 I find Harry Rosen to be terribly overpriced. |

Doubt this helps you in the short term but I've been getting shirts/suits custom made by Maxwell's Clothiers (Hong Kong based tailor with scheduled visits to various GTA locations 2-3 times per year...check their site for a current schedule). Most recently, their dress shirt specials started from $150for 3 shirts plus shipping. Many fabric grades and samples to choose from and you get to customize all shirt aspects from collar to cuff style to monogramming etc. Though shipment to your door is around 10-12 weeks from placing your order, my guess is that your Maxwell's custom fit shirt will give most $300 shirts from any GTA men's shop, especially if we're talking an off the rack shirt, a run for their money in terms of looks and fit on you. I obviously have never bought a $300 dress shirt but frankly feel I wouldn't need to with alternatives such as this.
Sorry for the novel....just trying to help! |

You can't go wrong with a shirt like this. It's classic and casual.

There are no $300 shirts at the place I buy almost all my clothes from, but they do have nice stuff. It's called Jazz Casuals and is in the basement level of the SUN LIFE building on King, right near Roy Thompson Hall. http://www.weblocal.ca/jazz-casuals-toronto-on.html
200 Wellington W Toronto, ON M5V 3C7 (416) 596-8093 I met the owner (Ralph) and his wife when I was on vacation in Cancun in 1997, and as I said, buy 95% of my clothes there! He always has a great deal on dress socks, 3 pairs for $10. I just returned from there a few hours ago. It's worth a visit. Today I bought socks, a sports jacket and a suit. They also have another location at 5150 Yonge St, near Mel Lastman Sq. |
