HELP with SA build

So tracking a SA build is a lot harder than a Germany build. I have been at the port awaiting a vessel for 5 days and I was able to find that the Pegasus Leader is docked at the Durbin Car terminal in SA so I am assuming it makes it onto that boat. He is where I need your help. There is conflicting info on the forums about wether or not the SA builds go to Germany first and then to US or if the go to the US directly. Older info always said they stopped in Germany then across. New info says that they may directly come across. ANyone really know?

No idea but if it has to go to Germany first that sucks!!! :-/

If my dealer told me my car was being built in SA I would have refused to place the order.

I know, thats not helpful...

Thanks man... actually I was the one that suggested the SA build- I placed my order in July knowing that my wife's lease want up until 1st week of december so I really didn't need the car until november ish. Knowing the deals on leases are only good 60 days after the program ends I figured if it was longer than that than bmw would have to honor my deal because i can't control production and shipping. My dealer agreed

My delear and also bmwusa has told me that the SA cars come directly to the US. Not sure but I think it is with M.O.L. lines and they sail twice monthly from SA and the trip is 21 days (to newark). I dont think you can track like WW coming from germany.
I started production on 9/1 but dont have any other info for my car.
